Confirmation

Confirmation is the Sacrament that celebrates the presence of God’s special strength and gifts in a baptized person. It is one of three Sacraments of Initiation along with Baptism and the Eucharist. The person being confirmed is committed to Christ and ready to be a responsible worker in the Christian community.

Confirmation is a time when the faithful celebrate the outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts of the Holy Spirit are: Wisdom, Understanding, Judgement, Courage, Knowledge, Love, and Reverence for God.

Young adults are confirmed in October after two years of sacramental preparation.
