2018 Annual 5th Grade Tea Party

The 5th Grade Tea party has quickly become an annual tradition at St. Joan of Arc. The students dress up for this afternoon party where they learn how to properly set a table, different etiquette rules, and the history of tea. Scones, cookies, and cakes were served with cream, lemon curd or strawberry jam. Students had the choice between orange blossom tea and black tea poured into porcelain teacups. This party also celebrates the end of their elementary school years and the beginning of middle school. Every parent was asked to write a letter to their child congratulating them on their achievement. Thank you, Mrs. Spencer, for coordinating such a fine party!
