Welcome to Religious Education at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
St. Joan of Arc’s Religious Education strives to develop and cultivate the faith in every area of the life of the child, young adult and adult of the parish. Faith is a life-long process it is not accomplished quickly, nor is it complete after a certain number of years. A knowledge of one’s religion and a living out of one’s faith is ongoing. Growth and change are an integral part of the process.
Catechesis educates the child or young adult in the living faith of the Church and is designed to help at each stage of human development leading to full identification with Jesus Christ. Teaching the Gospel values encourages harmonious development of the spiritual, intellectual, moral, physical and social skills of each child, young adult and adult.
Registration for the 2019-2020 Faith Formation Year is OPEN
We are excited to offer Family Catechesis on Wednesdays as well as on Sundays. With Family Catechesis, the families come together for lessons once a month and commit to teaching the rest of the lessons at home, using the Loyola Press Finding God lesson plans available online. Work done at home will be turned in to the Catechists, either online or on class days. Parents registering their children for Family Catechesis must speak with Religious Ed before the registration is approved.
Families that prefer the traditional weekly catechist-taught classes can sign up for the Traditional Catechesis Wednesday program, which meets on Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM.
If setting up an automatic credit card payment plan, please print and fill out the CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION Form

Would you like to Volunteer with Religious Education?
Each of us is called to build the Body of Christ in a unique way.
Perhaps this is the year to answer the call to be a catechist, assistant catechist, hall monitor, substitute catechist or office volunteer!
Please prayerfully consider if you can share your time and talent once a week. Please send us an email or call our office at 561-952-2872 for additional information.
All volunteers must attend Virtus “Protecting God’s Children” training, pass a fingerprints background check, and sign the Diocesan Code of Conduct, as well as be able to obtain at least the Basic Catechist Certificate (online). Thank you!
