Due to the increase of the number of Hispanics in the area, our parish has responded to the need for more space and added activities to serve the people of God.

A parish house has been provided to house the Spanish Ministry. You are all aware of the many ministries that respond to our English-speaking parishioners. The same activities and opportunities are offered to those who speak Spanish.

Now that we have more space, we will be offering English classes so people will be able to function in an English speaking world.

Art classes are also offered once a week to people who have a creative talent. I know some of you have seen my handiwork. If you would like to see my teacher’s work come visit the new house. She has painted a beautiful mural on the wall in one of the rooms.

One of the goals is to integrate as many programs with the English programs as I can. I am always aware of the fact that even though two or three languages and customs prevail in our community, we are all one church. I try to support these programs and encourage the people in my ministry to do so.

Our wonderful parish nurse will be coming over occasionally to take blood pressures for those who are able to come during the day.

Some of our seasonal activities include a Lenten retreat, the living Stations of the Cross and the posada.
